Functional Joint Classifications
Joints, along with functional, can also be classified into structural groups based on wheat material they are made of. These joints are; fibrous, cartilaginous, and synovial.
Fibrous joints are made of tough collagen fibers.

- Examples of these joints are the sutures of the skull and syndesmosis joint that holds the ulna and radius together.
- Examples of cartilaginous joints include the joints between the ribs and costal cartilage, along with the intervertebral disks of the spine
